Jobs with Justice, and some dissatisfied Verizon customers to show their support for quality service and good jobs in the telecom industry.

Speakers at the standout before the hearing included IBEW Local 2324 Business Manager John Rowley, IBEW Local 2222 Business Manager and T6 Council Chair Myles Calvey, Verizon employee Paul Mark, Rand Wilson, AFL-CIO and Aron Goldman, a dissatisfied Verizon customer who lives in Shutesbury, MA.

The hearing was held at Northampton City Hall and was open to the public. Witnesses from Western Mass. towns, the AG's Office, the IBEW, and Verizon testified. The DTC initiated its investigation in 2009 in response to consumer complaints about Verizon's wireline business from several towns in Western Mass. The Attorney General and IBEW Local 2324 joined the case as intervenors on behalf of Western Mass consumers.
